Zenest Privacy Policy

Zenest ("we", "us", "the app") is a sleep and relaxation audio app operated by RYSE Consultant Company Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what control you have over it.

1. What we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, an optional display name, and a password. Passwords are hashed and never stored in readable form.

Listening data. To sync your experience across devices we store your playback progress, completed episodes, saved episodes, and any episodes you have unlocked (including promo code redemptions).

Subscription status. If you subscribe, we record your plan type (monthly or annual), its status, and its expiry date. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see or store your card number or payment details.

What we do NOT collect. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data, or advertising identifiers. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. We do not sell your data to anyone.

2. How we use it

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running Zenest.

3. Where your data lives

We use a small number of service providers to run Zenest:

These providers process data only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us.

4. Guest use

You can browse Zenest and listen to the free prelude episodes without an account. In guest mode, listening progress is stored only on your device and never leaves it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account (Profile → Delete my account), your account and all associated data — profile, listening history, saved episodes, unlocks, and subscription records — are permanently deleted immediately. This cannot be undone.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — manage subscriptions in your Apple or Google account settings.

6. Your rights

Under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (and equivalent laws where you live), you may:

7. Children

Zenest is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Audio streaming links are short-lived and signed. Access to user data is restricted to what the app itself requires; we follow the principle of least access.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
